Fall TV Premier Week

This week almost all of my shows are premiering, YEAH!

Mondays

HIMYM - I started watching this show 3 years ago after Nexflixing the first couple of seasons. I LOVE  it. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out from the beginning. It was a nice replacement for Friends.

2 Broke Girls - I haven't found too many comedies in recent years that I enjoy, but I do like this show. It may at times seem inappropriate, but it's really funny.

I also like Dancing with the Stars and the Voice. I would DVR them, but them I have to watch one of the shows I'm taping, so I'll be catching up with these two OnDemand or online.

And last, but not least my guilty pleasure, Teen Mom 3.

Tuesdays

Chicago Fire - Need I say more. This is probably the show I'm most excited for it's return. And because it takes place in my beloved Chicago and I recognize some of the places they film. Before we left Chicago I saw them filming from my office building.

I don't have anything else scheduled for Tuesday, yet. Maybe I will have to check out several new shows. New shows that I enjoy often get cancelled.

Wednesdays

This is by far my fullest tv night.
Revolution - I got sucked into this show last year, so of course I have to finish it.

Law & Order SVU - I can't explain why I enjoy this show so much, but I do. I will even watch reruns on USA.

Nashville - I love Connie Britton! I am still in need of catching up on last season, but I jump into this season.

Modern Family - How can you not like this family.

Thursdays

Shark Tank - I wish this show was still on Friday's so I would have something to watch but...

Grey's Anatomy - I have a love/hate relationship with this show. I'll continue to watch it since I've seen the other seasons.

Parenthood - I'm still catching up on past seasons, but I'm excited for the shows return.

Fridays

Nothing yet.

Saturdays

The Same.

Sundays

Breaking Bad - I can't believe the final episode is upon us. They won a much deserved Emmy last night. It's a very addicting show, if you haven't seen it.

Amazing Race - I do love a good reality show and this one by far my favorite.  Someday I hope to get on the show.

I am looking forward to the return of Drop Dead Diva and Pretty Little Liars in October.

Images are from google images.

What shows are your favorites that I should check out?

13 Months

13 Months

Height: 28.3 inches long; 13.5th percentile*
Weight: 16 lbs. 10.5 oz.; 7.7th percentile*
Head Size: 17.9 inches; 58th percentile*
Diaper Size: We finally transitioned you to size 3 diapers. Still the same in cloth diapers.
Clothes: 12 month clothes fit best, but you are growing into your 12-18 month clothes.
Sleep: We have been busy in the mornings, so your morning nap schedule is inconsistent. Still a rock star afternoon napper, but you are waking up earlier in the mornings.
Eating: You have tried pizza, pancakes, waffles and peanut butter this month. You haven't found a food you won't eat. You are able to eat the food pouches without assistance and without spilling them all over yourself. You are completely off bottles using sippy cups.
Mommies Milestones: We have a WALKER. I love it. You are seriously adorable walking around. That's your biggest accomplishment of the month.

1 Year Pics

If we are friends on FB, then you have seen several photos from our recent photoshoots for Charlotte's 1st birthday. I decided to post a few on here that weren't posted on FB as well as some that were.

The first set are photos we took ourselves, from Pinterest inspiration. I wanted to take pics with balloons, but never made it to the party store.

The inspiration for the following photos was taking an object that your child could be photographed with year after year.

We tried to have Charlotte take a picture with her ultrasound photo. It didn't work too well.

Here are a few from the professional. Hope you enjoy.

This is one of my top three pics from the day.

This is also one of my top three pics.

Blog Make-Over: Part 1 Social Media Icons

For the longest time I haven't cared too much about the look of my blog. It wasn't until recently that I started thinking it was time for a makeover. Now that I'm blogging more regularly I felt it was time for something new. Now I am not one to pay someone to do something for me when I think I can do it myself, so I took to the web to find DIY ways to spruce up the look of my blog. When I'm finished, hopefully it will look cleaner and read better. This is also a challenge for myself to see if I can do it. If not it might be time to consult a professional.

First up Social Media icons. I was fairly confident that I could make my own icons, but decided to see what FREE options were out there before I spent time on making my own. I found Christina's I Gotta Create blog where she not only had free icons, but some tutorials as well. Thank you, Christina. I don't like to ask for help so the tutorials were a great resource and easy to follow.

When I was working I had to learn html coding on the fly for the websites I managed. I learned several tips that have helped in the blogging world, when posts have gotten out of whack. If you plan on adding these buttons to your blog, don't fret the coding, Christina's instructions are easy to follow.

If you are new to my blog, feel free to follow me on the following sites. I'll soon be adding a link to my Etsy Store that will be opening very soon. For those that have followed me for awhile I will open this shop if it's the last thing I do.

So, there you have it. The first part of my blog makeover. Stay tuned for more updates.

Pinterest Thursday

On our second to last trip home I was stressing about the flight. Charlotte was bigger and more mobile than the last trip home. Needless to say I was not looking forward to the flight. I had heard that someone had made "treat bags" and gave them to fellow passenger apologizing in advance for their unruly children. I thought it was a great idea and went to Pinterest looking for ideas. I, of course found inspiration and created my bags. I modified the language of the tag and tied up candy, gum and earplugs inside the bags.

I stuck with giving the bags out to the other two seats in my row. Passengers were excited and surprised  by the bags. Everyone was very nice and Charlotte behaved so I was glad everything worked out. If she had been screaming at least they had earplugs.

If you have a trip coming up and traveling with a little one, I highly suggest these bags. They are easy to make and much appreciated.

I thought I had taken a picture, but alas I can't find it.

September Pin-spired

It's time for another edition of Pinspired. I'm linking up with Shay, Mel and Shaeffer for this month's edition of outfit inspirations. Make sure you check out their blogs and the other bloggers participating.

I missed out on last month's linky party because we were out of town and I was without a computer to post my outfits. I haven't created many looks, since it's been hot and I've lived in tanks and shorts. I also  think I jumped started summer in April and used my summer Pinterest outfits before summer got started.

Outfit #1 - Red, White and Blue

These colors can be worn on so many different holidays and are so classic. They remind me of Cape Cod or the Hamptons. I've never been to the Hampton's but I think you would see them there.

                                                                                                       Blazer - Gap, old
                                                                                                         Shirt - Limited, old
                                                                                                      Shorts - Gap, similar
Anchor Necklace - Limited, sold out

Outfit #2 - Army Green and Pink

This is quickly becoming my favorite new fall color combo. I'm loving army green as my fall go to neutral. After searching through my closet I was surprised to find I already had several army green pieces that I have collected over the years. I would like to add a few items to my closet of the military inspiration.

Jacket - Old Navy, old                                                       Tank - LOFT
Tank - LOFT                                                                     Shorts - Old Navy, old

           Shoes - Toms

Me and my mini me in our matching outfits.

Outfit #3 - Yellow and Neon Purple

Ever since I came across this necklace I have fallen in love with this color combo. These colors look so good together. I don't know why I haven't tried them before.

                                                                                             Tank - Banana Republic, old
                                                                                             Shorts - GAP, sold out
                                                                                                 Scarf - Nordstrom, old

Outfit #4 - Yellow, Orange, Navy and Turquoise

Here's another necklace color inspiration. I think these colors will transition nicely into fall.

                                                                               Cardigan - Limited, old
                                                                               Tee - LOFT, old
                                                                               Shorts - Target, old
                                                                         Necklace - Banana Republic, old

Outfit #5 - Jeans, Oversized "crochet" sweater

                                                                                                                 Sweater - LOFT, sold out
                                                                                                                 Tank - LOFT, old
                                                                                                                 Jeans - LOFT, old
                                                                                                                 Necklace - Limited, old
Outfit #6 - Yellow, Chambray and Statement Necklace

I've been looking for more ways to wear my chambray shirt in a way that flatters me. I cannot tuck in this shirt and make it look cute for anything, but I still like it. If anyone has tips on how to tuck in chambray, let me know.

                                   Shirt - Old Navy, similar
                                   Shorts - J-Crew, sold out
                                   Necklace - Etsy

Check out my other outfit inspiration from my Fashionista Pinterest Board. See my other Pin-spired posts here - July, June, May, April, March.
