Friday Favorites

I am so looking forward to spring, is anyone else? I can't complain about the weather here sunny and 70s, while most of the country is covered in snow, ice and freezing temps, but I'm still looking forward to everything spring promises. Right now I am loving everything pastel. I do already own lots of pastels and here are a few of my favorites right now. I'm linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals for this week's Friday favorites edition.

Everett: 3 Months

3 Months

Height: 24 inches; 88th percentile*
Weight: 13.1 pounds; 66th percentile*
Head Size: 15.5 inches; 55th percentile*
Diaper Size: Between size 1 and 2. We worked our way through the remaining size 1 diapers we had.
Clothes: Moving on to 3-6 month sleepers. 0-3 month onesies and pants and some 3-6 month stuff.
Sleep: It feels like you have hit a sleep regression stage and your sleep/naps are sporadic. You have started going down around 8-9 each night then you are up 2-3 times a night to eat.
Eating: You are going longer stretches between feedings; it all depends on when you sleep.
Mommy Milestones: You are a chatterbox and love talking to us. You can hold your head up unassisted. You have rolled over from back to front and front to back, but you aren't rolling consistently. Your preferred sleeping spot is in the bed. Right now you hate being worn. You are 50/50 on wether you like the pacifier and you are much better using the bottle. You are an extremely happy happy and haven't, yet, met someone you don't like.

Valentine's Day Festivities and Pinterest love inspired projects

Preparing for Valentine's Day this year was a lot of fun. I knew I wanted to host a V-Day party for our mom's church group and have the kids exchange valentines. I planned to have fondue for the moms and small treats for the kids. Here are some of the pics of the party prep.

I thought it would be cute to serve strawberry milk out of "milk" bottles and straws, but realized that as cute as it was it would be reckless of me to use them with 2-3 year olds. So we went with juice boxes, much better choice. I do intend to use them eventually.

The "I dig you" bags, which I forgot about.

Our Fondue fixings.

Valentines. Thank, Pinterest.

Our Mantel. I've been wanting to make this Deck of Cards garland for years.

Love canvas - Idea from Pinterest.

Subway Art, I created a few years ago.

My Valentines.

David always gets me flowers for V-Day and our anniversary. He also started getting Charlotte a rose last year as well. We gave gifts to the kids and a few small things to one another, including donuts.

That evening, instead of going out, I don't think we have ever really gone out, we had our friends over for more fondue and to hang out. Here is a picture of last year and this year. Not picture is Malachi. He was sleeping both times.

They have grown up so much in the last year.

Several people seem to think that I subject my kids to too many photo shoots. I probably do, but until they can object we will continue to play dress up. The big one is almost over it, but I still try my best to bribe her. The lighting isn't great in our place and there always seems to be a yellowish tint thanks to the walls.

Friday Favorites: TV Shows

It's Friday Favorites and I am talking tv shows. I am linking up with Momfessionals for this week's party.

Everyone has one or two shows that they can watch over and over again. I have 3 shows that I can watch on repeat and never grow tired of them.

First up is a childhood favorite, Full House. Yes as embarrassing as it is to admit I still watch this show if I catch it on tv. It takes me back to my childhood. I grew up with  this show. When we visited SF a few years back we went by the house featured in the opening credits. The house has seen better days.

Next up is Friends. I've probably watched this show hundreds of times and own every season. Now that Netflix is airing the series, it's on repeat when I want background noise. It takes me back to high school and college. I'm sure I cried when the show ended.

Last up is HIMYM. I got into this show after it was already on the air. It was back before Netflix streamed many shows and you had to wait for the dvds. We own all but the last 2 seasons and I've watched them numerous times.

I have to say the WB has put out several great dramas over the years, most of which I got into after the series was over. I'm not sure why but I'm a sucker for the hs drama show my favorites being One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. Netflix has ruined regular tv for me.
