Everett: 9 Months

9 Months

Don't let the number on the onesie fool you, mommy used the wrong sticker.

Height: 28.25 inches; 47th percentile
Weight: 17.3 pounds; 12th percentile
Head Size: 17.75 inches; 53 percentile
Diaper Size: Still in size 3 diapers
Clothes: 9 Month clothes and some 12 month stuff
Sleep: You have become a great sleeper. The length of your naps might not be consistent, but you will take 2 naps a day and go down so easily at night.
Eating: You are still a great eater. You want whatever I am eating and don't want anyone to feed you. You've tried cheerios, grapes, veggie sticks and pirate's booty and are getting better at trying more pouches.
Mommy Milestones: You are standing, trying to talk more and crawling on all fours. You are working on your pincher grasp. You can give high 5's, you like to crawl into my lap and have the cutest laugh. You are the happiest baby!

Apple Picking

A few friends and friends of friends headed out to Julian today to pick apples. Julian in SoCal is known for their apples and apple pies. A few of us tried going out last year but we missed the season due to drought and smaller crops. Most of the orchards closed in early September and we made sure this year to get in early.

The particular orchard that we visited is only open on the weekends and for groups during the week. As of last week I wasn't sure we would have enough people but I must say everyone rallied and I think we had between 50-60 moms and kids come.

I don't know why but I always think kids will last longer doing activities than they actually do. I know all the kids thought it was pretty cool to pick apples and pears off the tree. We had access to several wagons which came in pretty handy hauling the bags back to our cars. My 3 year old decided she wanted to pull her own wagon through the orchard. I may have been that "mean" mom and made her pull it. Luckily we have nice friends and one of the other moms helped her out. I was pulling my own wagon with kids in it.

After 30-4 minutes of wandering through the orchard we headed back for lunch. I don't think many of the kids actually ate. They were having too much fun playing with sticks, yelling and getting unbelievably dirty.

Everyone had a great time and I can't wait to go back next year.
