Easter

This post is long overdue, but here goes. We had a terrific Easter this year. C is getting older and is starting to understand holidays and activities more.

On the Saturday before Easter, several families from our church hosted a picnic and Easter egg hunt for the kiddos.  The food was fabulous and watching the kids hunt for eggs was hysterical. We divided the kids into two groups 2 and under and everybody else. Well, most of the kids fell into the first group and were all experiencing this egg hunting for the first time. C couldn't wait to begin. She didn't "steal" any eggs from the other kids but she wasn't sharing either. She came out with a haul and we ended up sharing with another girl. I was surprised at how fast she figured out what to do. We hadn't practiced or anything.

That evening we tried our hand at dying Easter eggs. At first C was more interested in blowing bubbles with the wand, but she did enjoy dropping the eggs into the water. We also made fruity pebble eggs for dessert.

Enjoying the Easter basket before church. Since Easter, we have had several more Easter egg hunts, although C doesn't quite grasp waiting for me to find the eggs before she finds them. We had fun at church and enjoyed a quite day at home.
