Grandma's Visit

David's mom came to visit at the beginning of December. We didn't have many things on the agenda, but we still managed to stay busy. I know grandma needed a vacation after her visit as C wore her out. Thanks for coming to visit.

During her visit, I had a MOPS Christmas Party down in Coronado. Afterwards we stopped by Balboa Park to take pictures at the Grinch Christmas Tree. When we arrived, we realized that I had forgotten the memory card for the camera. I don't love iPhone photos but it's all we had. We found this old sled at a flea market a few years ago and I finally found a use for it.

Making sugar cookies with grandma! C didn't much care for the cutting and icing of the cookies, but she was all over the sprinkles.

David and I were able to have two date nights during Grandma's stay. The first night we went to see Mockingjay and grabbed take out afterwards. The second night we went to a church group party followed by David's work party. It was so fun to get out and spend time together.

Girls from church.

The night before grandma left we went to look at Christmas lights, last year we did the same thing. This year C was more into the lights and I loved seeing it through her eyes.

Why use a "monkey" when you have fingers.

On the way to the airport we stopped by DonutBar. These donuts are so yummy! Some of our favorites weren't on the menu, but we still found several to enjoy.

After we dropped grandma off, we headed to SeaWorld. Our passes expire in January and we wanted to get in at least one more trip while daddy was still home.

Proof that he was here. A new baby whale was born a few days after E's birthday.
Petting the whale.

Playing in the snow.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
