Cooking

One of my new year's "resolutions" was to cook more. I haven't done well thus far, but I have cooked for the last two nights. Last night I made King Ranch Chicken, it's a mexican dish, and I made black bean soup tonight. Both were delicious. If you want the recipes let me know.

1. I have run 1 marathon, 4 half-marathon, 1 ten miler, and several smaller races.

2. I don't like the responsibility hotel key cards hold.

3. I can make myself into the human basket.

4. I'm very anal about organizing dvds, books, and cds.

5. I have eaten pizza for every meal for multiple days.

6. I'm going to be an aunt in July.

7. I read 52+ books a year for 3 years.

8. I have watched 80 of the AFI 100 greatest movies, original and updated lists.

9. I used to wear fake glasses, but I recently got real ones.

10. I have visited 10 countries and 30 states.

11. I've never had braces.

12. I hardly ever wear lip gloss or lipstick.

13. I got my license when I was 19. It wasn't my choice.

14. I used to hate Coke and only drink Pepsi. Now I only like coke - only in fountain and can form. I don't drink sodas from 20 oz. bottles anymore.

15. My favorite Nachos are from 7-11 and my favorite chips and salas are from Chilis.

16. My favorite tv show growing up was Full House. I still watch re-runs on ABC Family.

17. I once took 9 roles of film at a youth camp.

Craigslist

I discovered Craigslist when I first came to DC. David and I have sold several things on Craigslist and even utilized it while we were in other cities on vacation. What I've realized is, it works much better in larger cities with young professionals.

Today I posted several things and made my first sale and I did it all by myself. In the past David has normally posted the stuff, received the e-mails, corresponded with the people, and made the sale. This time it was all me. I even walked the person through step by step directions on how to arrive at my place. It was truly a feeling of accomplishment.

Arlington Cinema Drafthouse

Tonight we went to see Tropic Thunder at the Arlington Cinema Drafthouse with friends. For those of you not familiar with this theater, it looks like an old school theater complete with tables and a bar. It shows movies that have retired from the normal theaters ate reduced rates. It's pretty cool. You can eat dinner, drink, and watch a movie.

David was out in the lobby during the movie and ran into a man claiming to be Dakota Fanning's uncle. We was just talking and commented that he was going to see his niece Dakota Fanning in Charlotte's Web. I think he meant Secret Life of Bees. I guess we will never know if he was telling the truth, but I don't know why he would lie about this.

FREE CHIPOTLE BURRITO DAY

Today was an awesome day! I went to Chipotle twice and my food was free both times. My co-worker and I had discussed going to Chipotle earlier in the week. We both brought in foil and decided to dress and redeem our free burritos during lunch. I decided that I wanted to add "toppings" to my burrito for the dramatic effect. When I went to make my toppings, we recruited another girl to go with us. We were the "FREE Burritos". Our shenanigans created quite a stir around the office. When we returned from our excursion, yes they were others in the area who participated in the free burrito give-a-way, people did look at us curiously. Word quickly spread about the free burrito. Our foil was the foil that kept on giving today. It was spectacular. Nothing brings an office together like free food.
