New Desk

About a month ago, we purchased a new desktop computer. Our old had a tendency to freeze and the monitor didn't always work, therefor we decided it was time for a new one. With the new computer and monitor, we needed to purchase a new desk. Our old, was really a coffee table, but it worked as our desk for the past three years. One of the reasons why we needed a new desk was because the monitor we purchased is 24 in(We could turn it in to a TV monitor in the future) and needed to be elevated.

We went to IKEA with the intent on buying a new desk several weeks ago. We found one we liked and actually agreed on it. But, we were worried that it wouldn't fit in our car. We went out to measure our car and sure enough it wasn't big enough. For most cars this wouldn't have been a problem, but since we have a Hybrid it wouldn't fit. For those of you who aren't familiar with hybrids, the electric battery is located in the trunk and prevents the seats from folding down. Anyway, we were disappointed. However, about two weeks ago we decided to rent an SUV and drive down to purchase our desk. Here are some pictures of our old desk, our new desk, and some of our new organizational things for the desk.
