Valentine's Day Festivities and Pinterest love inspired projects

Preparing for Valentine's Day this year was a lot of fun. I knew I wanted to host a V-Day party for our mom's church group and have the kids exchange valentines. I planned to have fondue for the moms and small treats for the kids. Here are some of the pics of the party prep.

I thought it would be cute to serve strawberry milk out of "milk" bottles and straws, but realized that as cute as it was it would be reckless of me to use them with 2-3 year olds. So we went with juice boxes, much better choice. I do intend to use them eventually.

The "I dig you" bags, which I forgot about.

Our Fondue fixings.

Valentines. Thank, Pinterest.

Our Mantel. I've been wanting to make this Deck of Cards garland for years.

Love canvas - Idea from Pinterest.

Subway Art, I created a few years ago.

My Valentines.

David always gets me flowers for V-Day and our anniversary. He also started getting Charlotte a rose last year as well. We gave gifts to the kids and a few small things to one another, including donuts.

That evening, instead of going out, I don't think we have ever really gone out, we had our friends over for more fondue and to hang out. Here is a picture of last year and this year. Not picture is Malachi. He was sleeping both times.

They have grown up so much in the last year.

Several people seem to think that I subject my kids to too many photo shoots. I probably do, but until they can object we will continue to play dress up. The big one is almost over it, but I still try my best to bribe her. The lighting isn't great in our place and there always seems to be a yellowish tint thanks to the walls.
