Weight: 13.1 pounds; 66th percentile
Head Size: 15.5 inches; 55th percentile
Diaper Size: Size 1, but growing out of them
Clothes: 0-3 month sleepers are tight, but 3-6 month ones are too big; 0-3 month onesies fit and newborn/0-3 month pants
Sleep: Each day is different, but you are sleeping longer stretches at night. When we are home in the mornings, you will sleep between 6/7 - 10 am and randomly throughout the day. Your bedtime right now is 11 pm.
Eating: Again, each day is different. You enjoying eating, what seems like every hour from 6-10 pm. Right now you don't like bottles, so we are going to try giving you one each night so you get more use to them.
Mommy Milestones: You rolled over a few times this month, but not consistently. You love looking in the mirror and you are smiling at us. You have started cooing and it melts mommy's heart. You took your first ride in the Ergo. You enjoying sitting up on mommy's lap and you tolerate your big sister. You have started to reach for things, but I don't know if it's with purpose. You can also hold your head up for long periods when upright.

Friday Favorites

It's time for another edition of Friday Favorites. I'm linking up with momfessionals and for this week's post.

1. Apple TV/Netflix - Since we gave up cable in 2009 and again in 2013 I've relied on Internet tv to keep me updated on my favorite shows. This last time we gave up cable we invested in Apple TV and haven't looked back since. I loved how easy it is use and the number of our favorite shows we have access too. I've been spoiled with Netflix and the lack of commercials that when watching live tv I find myself annoyed that I am forced to suffer through commercials. I would have never thought this was possible 20 years ago. Hope I'm not aging myself. :)

2. She Reads Truth App - I found this app through a friends blog. I've had on my to-do/goals list to read the Bible the entire way through for several years. Several times I've made it partially through, but never the whole way. I like the idea of this app and the way it breaks down the passages day by day. We will see if I can stick with it and follow it the entire way.

3. Nerds Rope - Yes, this one is really random. I love nerds and first tried these years ago. I ate a few after Christmas this year and have craved them ever since. You'd think I was pregnant or something. I'm just a hungry momma feeding her 8 week old son.

Pinterest Thursday: Cookie Edition

It's been awhile since I've done a Pinterest review, but I've tried several new recipes from my Board and here are the results.

Gooey Butter Cookies (left) - If you are from STL and are familiar with gooey butter cake you should definitely give these a try. They are melt in your mouth delicious. 4 Stars

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies (right) - I had planned to make these on Christmas, but ran out of time. We made a batch for my friend Julie's birthday and once again they were a hit. I would reduce the amount of cocoa powder by a smudge. 3 Stars

Both are recipes I would recommend and plan on making again. It was a nice alternative from the normal chocolate chip cookie.

One of my goals this year is to clean up my Pinterest Boards. I've decided to add another layer to that goal and try the recipes I pin. Of course I may need to clean them up a bit before I start this.

2015 Goals

I love starting the new year off with a fresh slate. There's no reason why this couldn't be done any day of the year, but in January everything seems possible. I like to set attainable goals, maybe this defeats the purpose of setting goals, but it keeps me motivated to accomplish them. Here are my goals for 2015.

1. Read at least one book a month
2. Organize our photos, back them up and print photo books
3. Organize and purge Pinterest boards
4. Update blog and make/keep blog schedule
5. Intentionally spend time with Charlotte doing things she likes
6. Research preschools and decide if we want to send C to one in the fall
7. Train and run a 1/2 marathon
8. Learn to cook and eat better
9. Go on or plan 10th anniversary trip
10. Take kids to Disneyland
11. Update LinkedIn profile and figure out how to stay relevant in the work force.

This is the start of my goals. I'd like to include a business goal of some sort, but I don't think it's realistic during this phase of my life and I'm coming around to that.

What are your plans for 2015?

Christmas 2014

I love the Christmas season and everything that goes with it. I put out our decorations in the middle of November to guarantee that we would have time to enjoy them. With a new baby, the season flew by. We were able to do a few holiday things that I planned. Next year when the kids are older I hope that we can add a few more things to the list. Here are several pictures from the day. While we were missing our Missouri family we hung out with our friends (who are like family) on Christmas. I didn't snap any pictures of the kids playing or enjoying the tent we put up take my word they had fun and so did the adults.

Merry Christmas!

Adventures with our Elf

Our Elf on the Shelf came to visit us last year, but since C was young she didn't really understand the whole thing. I thought that this year she would be totally into and well for the first couple of days she was. She lost interest in Jane, the name of our Elf, unless she was prompted to look for her.  I still moved around the Elf but less frequently than I had planned.

I made a big deal out of Jane coming to visit with breakfast and gifts. I don't think C understood the whole Elf thing and I guess that's ok. Jane left C and E a letter outlining why she was here and a reminder about the true meaning of Christmas. Knowing that I would be stressed out trying to thing of places to hide Jane I made a list before the baby came. Nothing too elaborate. I don't want to pull out all the big guns this year. Here's where Jane hide during her month with us.

Breakfast with Jane

Swinging from the chandelier

Coloring in a new coloring book

Hanging out in the manger

Fun with M&Ms

Hot Chocolate

Donuts and milk

Playing with legos

Puzzles

Making treat bags for our MOPS workers.

New shirt for dinner with Anna and Elsa.

Diapers with the stockings

Dancing with Homer

Hiding out in the tree

Saying goodbye to Jane. We left her with our Santa treats. She caught a ride back to the north pole on Santa's sleigh.

Hopefully next year she'll be more into it. Otherwise we may just nix it.
