Friday Favorites: All Things Green

As Saint Patricks Day quickly approaches, I've put together a list of my favorite green things right now. I'm linking up with Momfessionals for this weeks edition of Friday Favorites.

Jamberry Nail Wraps

I love these mint Jamberrys and I'm wearing them right now. They are really easy to apply and last for weeks.  I'm having an online party going on right now. If you would like more information feel free to leave a comment and I'll get you connected.

Photo Op Accessories

I'm a sucker for photos, especially when there is a holiday involved. Here are a couple things that I think would look adorable on any little girl for St. Patrick's Day.

Tissue Garland

I think this would look great hanging from my mantel.

Hello Shirt

Who doesn't love a green tee?

Lemon Pistachio Cupcakes

I haven't tried these yet, but they look delicious.

Pinterest Thursday: Cloth Diapers

I We have been cloth diapering for almost 2 years and after constant washing and wearing they are showing signs of age i.e. elastic breaking and hook and loop (velcro) closures wearing out.

I've had one diaper that I though was a lost cause, because let's be honest fixing a cloth diaper myself is intimidating. However, I know we want to continue using them, I'm going to need to replace several parts. I ordered BG replacement kit from Cotton Babies to replace the hook and loop closures and the elastic, but it doesn't include a front strip which is worn out on several diapers. I was successful in replacing the elastic in one of the diapers. I just hope that it holds up. I haven't attempted the velcro yet.

I followed a tutorial that I found on Pinterest, of course and it was super easy. I wish I would have remembered to take a picture of the before, but oh well. These are all 4.0s. I'm afraid to cut into the AIOs to replace them.

Whatever Tuesday

The terrible twos have hit our house with a vengeance; add to that sleep regression for both kids and we have one exhausted house. C and I daily battle about nap time. When there is an infant in the mix that nap is crucial. For the past two weeks I have tried laying down with both kids and one of them never falls asleep. After 1.5-2 hours of fighting the big one to lay down I give up and let her loose around the house. The consequence for not napping has been no tv or iPAD that night. This has caused some serious meltdowns for mommy and less than pleasant evenings in our house. As much as I want C to nap, I think she might be done with them, tear, and I've realized that I need to change my attitude. I was constantly losing my cool with her and she seemed to be in a permanent timeout. I knew this wasn't sustainable for either of us and decide to quit fighting with her. We've had more joy in our home this past week due to this change in my attitude. It hasn't been easy, I'm sleep deprived but who isn't, and everyone is happier. Now if I could only get the LO to take a nap.

I haven't had a haircut in over a year. I'm scheduled to get one this weekend and at the rate my hair is falling out I might not have any left to cut. I'm really digging the look of the lob now and considering several of the looks below. I need something fresh. I'm having trouble deciding exactly what I want. Which are your favorites? When I was younger I took more risks (I had short hair several times), but the older I get the less adventurous I feel.

After putting this collage together realized that all these cuts are very similar. I guess that I have a particular cut in mind. It's to bad that I can't find what these cuts look like straight.

I'm also getting some color, and I'm more open on that side.

March Pinspired

I'll admit, Pinterest hasn't been inspiring me lately in my outfit choices. We've had what I consider to be a warmer than normal winter this year. My cooler temperature outfits that I was looking forward to recreating sit unused on my Pinterest board. Finally the weather cooled off this past week and I was able to wear a couple of outfits. Both outfits are a mix of neutrals, boots, sweaters and scarfs and best of all everything was in my closet. I'm linking up with Mel, Shay and Sheaffer for this months' Pinspired challenge.

Outfit #1

Leggings - HUE, Booties- Marshalls, Tank - LOFT, Sweater - Kohls, Scarf - Limited

Outfit #2

Leggins - HUE, Boots - MACYS, Sweater - GAP, Tank - LOFT, Necklace - S&D, Vest - Old Navy
I opted for a necklace instead of the scarf since my vest was a puffy one.
