10 Months

10 Months

We are a month behind in our posts as today is C's 11 month birthday and we are posting a 10 month update. I promise these pictures were taken last month and her 11 month post will be up soon. I wish I could freeze her in time, she's growing up way to fast.

This was not staged, but it looks like she's showing us how old she is.

Height: 26.75 inches long; Between 10-25th percentile*
Weight: 15 lbs. 5 oz.; 5th percentile*
Head Size: 17.25 inches; Between 25-50th percentile*
Diaper Size: Cloth diapers, Lengthwise second to smallest size, still size 2 in disposables
Clothes: We are still on the petite size. Anything from 6-12 months fits and that's fine with me as we are getting more wear out of your clothes.
Sleep: I seriously feel like the luckiest momma when it comes to your sleeping. You are still an awesome sleeper, going to bed around 8:00 pm and sleeping through the night. When we are home you take a 1-2 hour nap in the morning and another 1-2 hour in the afternoon.
Eating: You are still drinking milk anywhere from 4-5 times a day and usually around 5-6 oz. You eat dinner every night and lunch most days. Foods you've tried this month are Blueberries, raspberries, grapes, mangos, broccoli and pirate's booty. I know we are great parents.
Mommies Milestones: You continue to surprise me with your skills. You climbed your first step this month and proceeded to fall while trying to climb down. We need to work on that. You are now throwing things with a purpose. You can give high 5's and you have been signing more and milk. You've been to the beach several times and love the sand. You love looking at bubbles. You went to your first Gymboree class and loved it. You went to your first weeding wedding and slept through it. You are so over long car rides and our road trip to SF was a long one. You can walk between things as long as you have one hand on something for support. You have added ma ma ma and ga ga ga to your vocabulary. Ba ba ba continues to be your favorite sound.

I don't have a list of favorites this month as we stayed busy with playdates, family and road trips. We'll be back next month with a new list.

I'll leave you with the cutest video IMO of Charlotte. One night when we were up in SF David was trying to kill a moth that was flying around the room. Out of nowhere Charlotte starts laughing and it melted our hearts.

July Pin-spired

It's time for another edition of Pinspired. I'm linking up with Shay, Mel and Shaeffer for this month's edition of outfit inspirations. Make sure you check out their blogs and the other bloggers participating.

Outfit #1 - Nautical meets Army

I've been crushing on these two trends for some time now, but wasn't sure how to incorporate them into my wardrobe with looking silly or buying a whole bunch of new stuff. So here's the outfit I put together. I do have a pair of ankle boots on, but forgot to photograph. They help with the military look.

Outfit #2 - Pinks and Purple

So I'll confess the original inspiration for this outfit wasn't found on Pinterest, but at a Matilda Jane trunk show I went to a few weeks ago. My baby girl was modeling one of the dresses in the collection and I loved the pinks and purples together. Click here to see the photos. I knew I could find an inspiration photo on Pinterest using these two colors.

Outfit #3 - Navy and Orange

This is definitely a fall outfit and reminds me of college game day, but I love it and have been wanting to wear this skirt for some time.

Outfit #4 - Stripes and Hot Pink

How can you go wrong with this combination.

Outfit #5 - Chambray, White and Statement Necklace

I've been wanting to replicate this outfit for some time, but couldn't find a perfect time to wear it. As it would turn out running errands was the perfect time to give it try. I couldn't pull off the half tucked in look.

What outfits are pinspiring you this month?

Father's Day Weekend

This past weekend was busy here in the Greer household. It all started Friday night with David's company picnic at the Padres Stadium. It was fun to hang out with David's co-workers and Charlotte hung out with her friend Kenzie. They danced and ate before the game. Charlotte lasted much longer than I expected her to at the game, considering we arrived at the stadium around 5 and stayed until 9. She provided between inning entertainment to the people behind us.

When we arrived home from the game our friend Yohan was almost to our apartment. He was spending the weekend with his favorite 10 month old and us. On Saturday we got up early to see a few houses. One we really liked and another one that was just ok. After we trekked back to the city we picked up our baseball equipment and headed to the batting cages. We were all pretty rusty and sore from the machine. Charlotte found our performance quite entertaining.

This morning I fixed breakfast for Father's Day, red velvet pancakes. They were extremely rich and none of us could finish them. After breakfast we took a walk down to the bay front and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing and enjoying some much needed quite time, followed by dinner at our favorite SD burger place, Burger Lounge.

Happy 1st Father's Day, David.

Here's a few outtakes from our photo shoot a few weeks ago.
